Bathroom Survey

Invalid DateTime

Every time I'm in an airport, I see one of these things. ![[Pasted image 20251024115240.png]]

Every time I can't help but think this might be one of the oddest examples of second order consequences.

If the bathroom was dirty, presumably touching the "terrible" button is actually a bit risky. After all, the bathroom wasn't very clean. Perhaps the person touching "terrible" is angry that they didn't have soap.

But similarly, touching "excellent" is a bit of a minefield on its own. Not because the bathroom was unclean, but purely based on proximity. Imagine you have any other large button directly outside of a bathroom that just says "touch me."

I suspect these surveys have made a non-zero number of people sick.
